Ref 013 – Clarification On Tyres on New caravans…

We recently had a case where a new caravan was supplied with 2 year old tyres. We initially thought this must be wrong but after investigation it has come to light that this is fact not unusual for tyre manufacturers to leave tyres to mature. Why, well we’re not quite sure as we couldn’t get in contact with the manufacturers to ask them. So really just to say don’t panic if you find your tyres are a couple of years old on your new caravan, but you do need to bear it in mind when it comes to five years down the line when you consider changing the tyres.
