GT Staff Gone Fishun……..
As most of you know the Greentree’s staf are a very social lot, and some of the guys decided to have a go at Lee Searle’s passion… fishing. Lee contacted a customer who has a boat and 5 guys got up at 6.00am one Sunday to set off to Lowestoft to catch the Cleveland Princess out of for a days sea fishing.
Brian our host sorted us our rods and set our tackle and then it down to the skill of each of us to master the art of landing what we caught. Lee was the first to catch a Dog Fish (just a small one) and then Neil caught a bigger 2.5lb one pictured.
Keith, Justyn and Jo were yet to catch and as the summer sun reached the highest point in the day (and temperature) the fishing went dead. From 1.00pm-4.00pm nothing was caught and so the guys sunbathed, chilled out and passed the day with Brian and Ben, the crew.
Keith caught a Skate which he named Leonard……….why? and Lee caught another Dog fish. During all of this Justyn and Jo’s famine continued whilst Neil just kept landing them finishing with 6 Dogfish.
All in all we all had a brilliant day with Brian Poppy and his boat and I’m sure we will repeat the day out for the staff next year.
Thanks to Lee for organising such a excellent trip and making sure the weather was probably the hottest day in 2013!
