After articles in the local media which were both factually incorrect and badly researched, we felt it was important to set the record straight with regard the sale of Greentrees Caravanstore. The press never contacted the company nor its selling agent to gain any information which led to confusion and speculation, all of which is a long way from the truth.

To be clear Neil & Justyn Greentree own Greentree Caravanstores Ltd and not Keith Greentree. He stopped being involved in the company in 1995. After almost 40 years in the business, in June 2023 Neil & Justyn felt it was time they started to move towards an exit from full-time work and towards retirement.

The family are very clear they are NOT in a hurry to sell and therefore will be looking for the right buyer who fits with the company ethos, who our staff like, and will continue to run the company as closely to the way the Greentrees have run the company for the last 53 years as possible. “This will not happen overnight…..in fact it could take years to find the right fit”, but Neil Greentree is very clear a good fit between the buyer and the company is key.

As far as sales customer orders go – absolutely nothing changes. Any orders are carried over to the new company seamlessly.  Deposits are perfectly safe as the company remains one of most financially ‘stable’ business’s in the area, owning the site without debt, and (unusually for any dealer) owning all its used stock without debt. As Neil Greentree has always said  “The family has always taken an ‘extremely financially stable’ attitude towards all our companies over the years”

Aftercare service plans are carried over to the new company so nothing will change. Basically the new buyer inherits the commitment to service plans with the customer – no stress!

The same goes for warranties – New caravan warranties also continue  with the new owners, and our used ‘in house’ warranties pass over to the new owners too.

The staff are super important in the way Greentrees Caravanstore has established itself as the foremost caravan and motorhome retailer in the East Of England over the years, and as a part of any future sale all the staff will be employed by the new owners – so no changes there either!

So what will Neil & Justyn do? – well Justyn has his Villa in Spain and Neil is keeping The Vault storage and his new hire company WildernX, but other than that who knows. Neil said ” I’m happy to continue working for the industry as a consultant or maybe get involved in systemising business’s which is my passion……. who knows?!”

Of course we are happy to discuss any concerns our customers may have  – just pop in and see us. So there you are…… for now we carry on just as we always have and will see what happens in the future.
