Greentrees CaravanStore have, over the years, become renowned throughout the industry for leading the way in training and knowledge, and one of the leading examples of this is their Towing Courses run by Neil Greentree one of the UK’s leading experts in caravan matters.

This weekend saw 4 people (3 ladies/1 man) enrole in the 1 day Towing course which gives students vital training in advanced towing techniques on the road as well as practical training on reversing. This added to a comprehensive classroom based session on towing law, loading, towing limits, and other aspects of advanced towing. All of this is achieved in 1 day and students are then given the chance to ‘top up’ their training in specific areas with the NEW 1-2-1 Towing Training recently introduced by Greentrees to their customers.

This brings the total Towing training courses available to Greentree customers to:

2 day Full Advanced Towing Techniques – Held April/ November

1 day Advanced Towing Techniques          – Held April/ November

1-2-1  3hr Towing Techniques                     – Available Mon-Fri All Year Round

To book onto any of the above courses just call the shop on 01362 696434

Here’s a few comments from Mr Geoff Dorrie who attended the 2 day course in April 2015:

My thanks to you for an excellent two days instruction in the finer arts of caravan towing this last weekend.

I cannot recommend this course highly enough. Having started caravanning in 1972 I was beginning to think that I must have developed a few bad habits and as my wife attended the course last year and found it extremely useful, I decided that I should do likewise.

I discovered that I was the only candidate and whilst this made for a very intensive two days I was surprised that there were not any other people there as it really is a very good course. I found it really valuable to have my bad habits gently but firmly corrected and to benefit from a running commentary on road awareness, positioning and a multitude of tips to improve my towing skills. I have seen videos of towing courses run by other organisations but this is the only one I have heard of to be run by a caravan dealer, (a really good example of one stop shopping!).

I firmly believe that all of us who tow caravans (or drive motor homes) can benefit from having their skills assessed (in a friendly and non threatening way as mine were) by this type of course as I am convinced that I have sharpened up my latent skills and will be able to get much more enjoyment from my trips in the future. This has also enabled me to appreciate how I can give a better example of caravan handling to other drivers (not a bad thing, as we are not universally liked on busy routes!) and help to keep moving without causing unnecessary holdups.

Finally, thank you for your patient and knowledgeable instruction and I do hope that more people will take advantage of these courses as they really are worthwhile.

Best regards

Geoff Dorrie
